Marla BBSerum Run Finisher, IFSS Gold Medalist/Hilltown Sleddogs
Marla BB is owner & head musher of Hilltown Sleddogs, a Touring & Racing Kennel of Alaskan Huskies in Western Massachusetts since 2010. She has raced Dryland Sprint & Mid-Distance Snow since 2011. IFSS Gold Medalist in 4, 6 & 8 Dog Rig, 2016-2017. ISDRA 2X's Bronze Medalist in 6 Dog Rig, 2015 & 2019.
Marla has competed in Mid-Distance Racing, from the Can-Am Crown in Maine, Beargrease in Minnesota, Defi Taiga in Fermont, Canada all the way to Alaska & the Summit Quest 300 & Two Rivers 100 finishing with the Red Lantern. In 2015, BB received the Sportsmanship Award at the Kearney 100 Dog Sled Race in Canada. In 2019, Marla BB was on Team USA for Rig Racing at the Dryland World Championships in Sweden.
In 2020, Marla was invited to Mush the Serum Run Trail, 674 miles from Nenana to Nome. Her dream of taking her team to Alaska to train right from her front yard 100's of miles for a Distance Expedition was realized. BB has written a children's book about this adventure. She will share a slide show, videos & stories from the expedition. Marla will also talk about extreme cold weather gear for dogs (& musher:) Temperatures ranged from -25 to -55 below zero that winter.
